Well, I promised a Snooki book review, didn't I? Here it is: ridiculous. It's like reading a season of Jersey Shore, and a very thinly veiled allusion to Snookin and Jwoww. Total trashy beach novel. And I loved it! Just what I needed after The Pale King. And now I'm following Snooki on Twitter, so we're winners all around here.
Between finishing A Shore Thing and now, I also read a book called The False Friend, by Myla Goldberg. It's very well written and I really enjoyed it. It's also short with I can't claim I hate. Now I'm onto How to Read the Air by Dinaw Mengestu. We'll see how that goes!
I know you all wanted to know about what I read. It's scintillating, really.

You read the Snooki book, that is too funny! I've been guilty of doing some beach reads myself lately. Oh, and cute skirt.
ReplyDeleteI needed such a brain break after The Pale King! It was funny though so I'm glad I read it. I need more trashy beach books in my life. & thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat bracelet and fun skirt!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little impressed that Snooki wrote a book actually or even that someone else (like a ghostwriter) was able to take what Snooki said and make it into a book.
That skirt is amazing. I'm going to find you and steal it from you. I know you're somewhere in that state next to me. -_- <-- That's me squinting looking for you.
ReplyDeleteAnd NOW I know what I'm checking out of the library for my vacay next weekend. Trashy novel here I come!
OH! And look for my blog on FRIDAY! Be very excited.
ReplyDeleteSnooki wrote a book?!?! Oh dear.. Those bracelets are beautiful!

Thanks Elle! I'm really impressed that the Snooki book happened too. It's certainly not going to win a Pulitzer but it's a really fun and trashy book.
ReplyDeleteMeghan: JCPenney! I just got it last week because I'm addicted to skirts now. Get it here! It's really amazing though I'm not totally sure what to pair it with on top. We'll see. & I can't WAIT to see your blog! I am so on that.
Erica: Yes, yes she did. There was a surprising lack of epic fist pumping but unsurprising inclusion of 6 inch platform heels. And thank you! I was going to wear the necklaces but I didn't quite like the look so I wore them as bracelets instead :)
