Two majorly different things about the photos in this post. In addition to purchasing a 50mm lens, I invested in a wireless remote and receiver, and oh. em. gee. was it ever worth it. I've been at this for over a year, and my blog is still small (I don't mind that!), and I never thought I'd be plunking down money for a remote so I could take pictures of myself. The only remote I need is the remote control for the tv, am I right? Turns out I'm wrong. This remote is the shizz.

I am in love with today's hair. I rarely get the perfect bedhead look; it's either freshly clean and soft (day 1) or too oily (day 2). So yesterday, I tried this pin, not expecting very much, but I really like how it turned out! I actually ended up sleeping on it overnight, and it still looked good, at least from the front. It doesn't look so fantastic toward the bottom and the back, but practice makes perfect, right?

The last two days have been major tights weather, you guys. We went from 80ish to 60ish in the span of a day. Frost warnings in Cardiganland! Yikes. So I've been wearing whatever will keep me warm without entirely sacrificing my belief that it is still spring. Also: a bunch of food pictures from Easter. I did a lot of prep the night before (deviled eggs, cucumber salad) but still had a lot of work the days of (cooking the ham and making ham glaze & homemade cocktail sauce). The only thing we still have is ham, and I can tell you right now that isn't going to last much longer.

Does my face look different to you today? If not, I don't blame you. If it does, then you've noticed I'm wearing eyeliner, which between the twitching and aggressive eye closing and not the straightest line drawing ever, took me about 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure my eyes died somewhere in there (either eyeliner or eyelashes went in instead of staying out) BUT I'm sure I must look pretty now because I'm wearing eye makeup!

I am not a known risk taker. I don't like roller coasters, or jumping out/off of things, climbing on things, trespassing, or really any overall life challenges that could alter my currently safe and normal existence. Perhaps this is why I'm single. But since starting this blog, I've climbed on things (with my camera), I've jumped out/off of things (with my camera), and trespassed (with my camera). Think Katniss, but with a tripod instead of a bow and arrow. And today, I've even entered the world of pastels. Don't expect it to last--I don't think I own anything else that is pastel--but at least I've taken the risk.
